I Fired This Girl Today, Should I Rehire Her?

Posted on 20. Feb, 2012 by in Uncategorized

Hey guys, my name is Jennifer.
So I am 17 and I am a manager at Target, of the cosmetics section. I am in charge of the entire section. Anyways, today at work this girl named Debby who just got hired was acting like an idiot. She was supposed to learn how to use the cash register and I was training her, but she couldn’t do it!
Then I told her that I will take over the cash register and she can walk around in the aisles, clean stuff, and help customers. I was watching her and she kept looking at all the products.
Then she was looking at the bottles of after shave. All of the bottles say ‘non-shatterable’ on them.
That just means that they won’t break if they get knocked over, but if you drop them they will still break.
Debby picked up two bottles and dropped them! Both of them broke.
I was SO mad. Technically I am her manager and I can do whatever I want. There were a bunch of customers in line in front of me, and I called her over. She was like: “whats up Jen?” I was like: “You’re FIRED.”
She got so upset, I told her to put her badge and uniform in my office and leave immediatley.
Then when she was leaving I stopped her. I asked her if she would be interested in working in the fashion department and she said yes, I said that I might rehire her and she could work there. She got all happy so I told her that I might not and she got upset again and she left.
Should I rehire her? Or not.. I told the store manager and she told me I can do whatever I want.

Give her one more chance. Maybe she’ll be more serious this time. Explain exactly what her job duties are give her specific task so she knows what to do. Tell her if she plays around anyomore you will have to fire her and this is her last chance.

Rehire her. Just give her another chance. Dont let her feel really bad. Sure she was acting like a idiot a lot, but tell her that its the last chance, and if she messes up, she’ll have to go. One more chance, trust me :)

Wow, I’m sorry that she’s being a pain in the *** on you Jen. Can I call you that??
Just out of my curiosity is the girl debby oh never mind
See, I have a friend named debbie but she’s not what she thinks she is. I thought that you were talking about her, but I just realized her name is spelt with an ie.
You should forget about this freakin’ idiot and just move on!! Who would give a **** about this girl?? I know I wouldn’t. I mean, what an idiot! What a loser :p ): [:0]
This is all about being an angel or a devil. Seriously
If you are a nice girl, a nice manager and then you would give her 1 more chance, rehire her, give her more details on the job and tell her what to do and what NOT TO DO, such as dropping bottles of after shave bottle even if the bottle says NON-SHATTERABLE on it.
Tell her that when a bottle says Non-shattereable, it means that they won’t break if they get knocked over and you shouldn’t play with it or drop it. Tell her that you can not PLAY with any items at the store or you would be breaking the rules. Tell her that it takes great responsibility to work here at Target. I know it’s just a pharmacy/clothes/
all you can get store but tell her like you mean it
    It’s not an easy job.
You have to be responsible for your actions
I hope you understand what I mean
And If you are a mean person who would rather forget about the poor idiotic insane whore, then just hire another hot guy with abs or a black guy or possibly Hispanic of your choice, hire him to work in the aisle that you work at and talk to him, give him a sign that you like him. if you are single of course. Why would you want a Boyfriend If you already have 1
Or just break up with the 1 you have right now and keep the hired guy
Remember, you are being evil right now >_< Haha, well I think that’s what you should do.
    This has all been me
I hope this helps and good luck with the painful girl Debs
She is so clumsy and treacherous in my opinion.
    treach·er·ous/ˈtreCHərəs/
    Adjective:
Guilty of or involving betrayal or deception.
(of ground, water, conditions, etc.) Hazardous because of presenting hidden or unpredictable dangers.
This is what treacherous means in case you don’t know
I’d say FIRE her and get on with your life and find the LOVE OF YOUR LIFE
    THINK OF IT ANOTHER WAY
    GO CRAZY
HAVE A WILD IMAGINATION LIKE ME :P
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
    LOLZ
I’m such an idiot, right and weird but whatever that’s me
